Incident Prevention contains utility safety and operations articles written by industry experts specifically for utilities, contractors and communication providers. The iP audience has grown to rely on our valuable information. Readers appreciate the concise format as Incident Prevention is an “all content – no fluff” publication. In 2009 the iP Advisory Board launched a non-profit called the Utility Safety & Ops Leadership Network – USOLN. The USOLN was tasked with creating the Certified Utility Safety Professional – CUSP credential. In five short years the CUSP has become a highly respected credential and there are 600+ credential holders. Carla Housh, President & CEO of Utility Business Media, also serves as the Executive Director to the USOLN.
Utility Business Media, Inc. launched a new magazine in 2011: Utility Fleet Professional. UFP is the only publication dedicated to the unique informational needs of utility fleet, utility contractor fleet, equipment and maintenance managers. Since its launch, UFP has been embraced by the industry and is growing by leaps and bounds. In 2017, we will produce five issues in conjunction with key industry events such as UFP’s Utility Fleet Conference, The Work Truck Show, the Electric Utility Fleet Managers Conference, ICUEE and other important regional events.
