Honeywell offers a new smart hearing solution that combines cloud-based software and connected, protective headsets to monitor sound in real time and analyze patterns to help companies better protect workers from noise-induced hearing loss.
The VeriShield Smart Hearing Solution comprises a protective headset that reduces background noises to safe levels within the headset, allowing workers to communicate more clearly and easily. The headsets continuously collect and transmit noise-related data to Honeywell Safety Suite, a cloud-based service that automates and streamlines the collection and reporting of critical safety intelligence. Supervisors and workers can monitor and view noise exposure data – including noise peaks, patterns and unusual occurrences – on their smartphone or mobile computer using the Honeywell VeriShield mobile app.
Exposure to unsafe noise levels on job sites adversely affects millions of workers and accounts for 16% to 24% of all hearing-loss cases reported worldwide, according to the U.S. National Institutes of Health.

As the use of technology expands daily into many aspects of our lives, the message of safety and incident prevention is more important than ever. Technology use places increasing demands on the electrical infrastructure and the individuals who must maintain and expand it.
Individuals in the field continually provide important feedback regarding safety and productivity, and this inspired the team at Hi-Line to pursue important design upgrades to their Hi-Grip Xtreme glove protectors.
The Hi-Grip Xtreme glove protectors are now arc rated to ASTM F2675/F2675M-19 standards. They offer protection up to 28 cal/cm² and ANSI Level 2 cut resistance. In addition to the all-leather cuff, the secure straps have been upgraded to reinforced leather.
New sizes and mitt-style protectors are now available with an improved thumb design that provides greater dexterity. The Hi-Grip Xtreme glove protectors still feature a full silicone-grip palm that provides supreme control, along with a Kevlar underlay and Kevlar stitching for maximum strength. They have been rigorously field tested for durability and include a wear guard on the top of the hand for extra protection.
