On April 22rd, over 200 Utility Safety & Ops professionals gathered in Orlando for the annual Spring iP Utility Safety Conference. Our event proved to be good timing as OSHA had just announced on April 11th that the final rule revising standards for electric power generation, transmission and distribution were published in the Federal Register. Utility industry experts spent two weeks prior to the conference reading the 1300+ pages of the new law and preparing to participate on the panel discussion at the iP conference.
You now have the opportunity to watch the videos of the panel discussions as each expert weighs in. There is no charge but you are required to register so we can keep you informed as the updates are published. You also will hear some of the questions that participants asked of the panelists. In order to view the video presentations we ask that you please provide your name and email so we can keep you informed as industry experts provide more insight and updates.
The Utility Safety & Ops Leadership Network (USOLN) board has gathered information and opinions in an attempt to interpret the newly released OSHA 29 CFR 1910.269 and 1926 Subpart V final rule. The following presentation is a summary and discussion of the views and opinions expressed about this topic as of April 21, 2014, at a conference hosted by Utility Business Media Inc. (UBM). UBM, the USOLN, its board and its members cannot guarantee nor warrant the accuracy, completeness, or timeliness of these facts, views or opinions. Individuals or companies seeking clarification of any laws or updates should always seek the advice of professional legal counsel.
